Sunrise Lands Kimono

A lighthearted, joyous nod to adventure and sunny holiday travel, all aboard for Sunrise Lands! The nautical artwork on this whimsical design comes from an 1880’s children’s travel book. The lovely little mermaid was taken from a print entitled “The Looking Glass of Venus” by Sir Edward Burne-Jones from the same era. We trimmed the entire piece in hand drawn nautilus and scallop shells from an antique French sketchbook. The result is full of happy, vaycay feels, and beautiful oceanic colours.
